Rosario's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

24-year old Dominican Rep. power forward Juan Rosario (203-F/C-1999, agency: BMS Sport Agency) had a great game in the last round for Motilones del Norte and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Piratas (#6, 7-15) 97-83. Thanks to this victory Motilones moved-up to the 3rd position in Colombian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Motilones will need more victories to improve their 15-6 record. In the team's last game Rosario had a remarkable 92.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Motilones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Rosario has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.0ppg) and averages solid 2.8bpg and 61.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Tristan Jarrett (193-G-1998) of Piratas de Bogota. He is American guard in his first season at Piratas. In the last game Jarrett recorded an impressive 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Piratas cruised to a 102-94 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Motilones (#3, 15-6). This victory allowed Piratas to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-15 record. Jarrett is one of the most experienced players at Piratas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Gani Lawal (206-F/C-1988) of league's second-best Bucaros de Bucaramanga. Lawal got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . He was a key player of Bucaros, leading his team to a 113-106 win against #1 ranked Carrib.Storm in a game of the week. Bucaros needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 6 lost games. Lawal has a great season in Colombia. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.5rpg (5th best).
