International Power forward Santiago Serna (203-F/C-2001) had an amazing evening in the last round for Piratas de Bogota, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 23-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, seven rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Cimarrones (#5, 1-2) 96-81. Piratas is placed at 4th position in Colombian Liga Wplay. Piratas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. Serna turned to be Piratas' top player in his first season with the team. Santiago Serna has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 17.3ppg), rebounds (7th best: 7.3rpg) and averages impressive 62.5% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Abdul Bah (185-G, agency: Players Group) of Cimarrones del Choco. Bah had a very good evening with 32 points and 6 rebounds. It was enough for Cimarrones to edge Piratas (2-2) 96-93. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. He was another key player of Cimarrones del Choco, helping his team with a 96-93 win against Piratas (#4, 2-2). The chances of Cimarrones not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Hunter could try to bring Cimarrones' a little bit higher in the standings. Hunter has individually a great season in Colombia. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (3rd best).
