The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Motilones (5-1) in Cucuta on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Piratas (3-3) 93-85. It was a good game for international power forward Santiago Serna (203-2001) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Eric Crawford (193, college: Maine-Augusta) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Dominican power forward Juan Rosario (203-1999, agency: BMS Sport Agency) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 20 rebounds for Motilones. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piratas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Motilones will play at home against Carrib.Storm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Motilones will play against Carrib.Storm in San Andres Island in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Piratas will have a break next round.
The game in Quibdo-Choco was also quite interesting. Toros (2-2) played at the court of Cimarrones (1-5). Toros defeated Cimarrones 65-55 on Monday. It was an exceptional evening for Soren De Luque who led the winners and scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Chance Hunter came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds for Cimarrones in the defeat. Toros will meet Paisas (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cimarrones will play against Sabios and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 3: Cimarrones were smashed by Carrib.Storm on the road 81-52. Cimarrones lost to Toros Del Valle on its own court 61-74. Sabios were outscored by Paisas in Medellin 63-103.
The most impressive performance of 3rd round was 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by Alante Fenner of Paisas.



Carrib.Storm - Cimarrones 81-52

No shocking result in a game when Storm (3-1) crushed Cimarrones (1-5) in San Andres Island 81-52 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for American Desmond Holloway (194-1990, college: Coastal) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Cristian Arboleda (205-1992) accounted for 10 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Storm's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American Chance Hunter (198-1998, college: Cal Poly, agency: Players Group) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import guard Abdul Bah (185, college: MSUB, agency: Players Group) added 13 points respectively for Cimarrones in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Storm will meet Motilones in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cimarrones will play against Sabios (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rather predictable result when Paisas (3-2) rolled over Sabios (0-3) in Medellin 103-63 on Tuesday. Paisas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sabios' 34. They outrebounded Sabios 46-33 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Paisas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Sabios' players. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Alante Fenner (196-1993, college: SSU) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import Anthony January (204-1993, college: CSUSB) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five Paisas players scored in double figures. American-Puerto Rican swingman Jordan Glover (198-1996, college: TCNJ, agency: SLN) came up with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Venezuelan swingman Kevin Nino (195-1991) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Sabios in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
