Liga Wplay top team - Motilones (8-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Cimarrones (3-8) in Quibdo-Choco 86-63. Motilones forced 21 Cimarrones turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for Dominican power forward Juan Rosario (203-1999, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Dominican point guard Jaison Valdez (188-1995, agency: BMS Sport Agency) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Andres Carmona (195-1997) replied with 14 points and 5 assists for Cimarrones. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Motilones have a solid four-game winning streak. The game in Manizales was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Piratas (5-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Sabios (1-7). Piratas defeated Sabios 88-75. American guard Eric Crawford (193, college: Maine-Augusta) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Luis Martinez chipped in 17 points during the contest. Piratas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Jesus Diaz with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Piratas moved-up to third place. Sabios at the other side stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Piratas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Sabios will play again at home against Piratas (#3) to get more than just one victory in their record.
The most impressive performance of 6th round was 19 points and 4 steals by Salazar Marlon of Sabios.
