This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th ranked Piratas (11-9) to first ranked Motilones (15-4) 103-101 on Thursday evening. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Motilones made 9 blocks. It was a good game for Dominican power forward Juan Rosario (203-1999) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Piratas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Motilones maintains first position with 15-4 record. Piratas lost third consecutive game.
