Liga Wplay top team - Motilones (17-4) added another victory to their record on Monday. This time they beat seventh ranked Sabios (2-21) in Cucuta 73-65. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Motilones made 7 blocks. Dominican power forward Juan Rosario (203-1999) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners and center Jhon Hernandez (208-1984) chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds. Motilones' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Salazar Marlon responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Motilones have a solid series of four victories in a row. We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Quibdo-Choco where 4th placed Piratas (11-11) were defeated by fifth ranked Cimarrones (9-11) 83-76 on Wednesday. Cimarrones forced 19 Piratas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American point guard DaQuan Brooks (177-1990, college: W.Connecticut) fired 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Dominican point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) chipped in 21 points and 6 assists. Nicaraguan forward Josmel Martinez (198-1999, college: Broward CC) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and American-Dominican Luis Martinez (198-1984, college: William Pater.) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Storm players scored in double figures. Storm's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Mascio McCadney (190-1998, college: MSU-Northern) produced 20 points and 5 assists and JR Holder (198-1994, college: Jacksonville) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Carrib.Storm moved-up to second place, which they share with Toros Del Valle. Paisas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 12 games lost.
