Dominican Rep. Power forward Juan Rosario (203-F/C-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Motilones del Norte, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 43 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Sabios (#7, 2-21) with 46-point margin 111-65. It allowed Motilones to consolidate first place in the Colombian Liga Wplay. Motilones have a solid 17-4 record. In the team's last game Rosario had a remarkable 86.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Motilones' top player in his first season with the team. Juan Rosario has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 19.0ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 11.5rpg) and averages impressive 2.2bpg and 65.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Motilones' star - young Jhon Hernandez (208-C-1984). Hernandez had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 15 rebounds. Of course together with Rosario he helped Motilones del Norte with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Sabios (#7, 2-21) 111-65. Of course Motilones still keep the league's top spot. His team lost just four games this season, while they won 17 matches. Hernandez is a newcomer at Motilones and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard DaQuan Brooks (177-PG-1990) of Cimarrones del Choco (#4). Brooks showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Cimarrones, leading his team to a 83-76 win against slightly lower-ranked Piratas (#6, 11-13). Cimarrones needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 11 lost games. Brooks has a very solid season. In 11 games in Colombia he scored 16.5ppg.
