Nicaraguan guard Christian Pizarro (180-1995, college: Miami Dade CC) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Benito Santiago (197-1989, college: Cumberlands) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Toros players scored in double figures. The former international guard Romario Roque (175-1998) responded with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Yustin Llerena (195-2002) scored 14 points.
