Toros Del Valle - Carrib.Storm 85-66

Toros outrebounded Storm 44-32 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Benito Santiago (197-1989, college: Cumberlands) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds. The former international Soren De Luque (200-1998) contributed with 9 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Toros players scored in double figures. The former international guard Romario Roque (175-1998) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists and point guard Sebastian Marquez (196-1987) added 11 points in the effort for Storm. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Motilones - Cimarrones 74-67

Motilones dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Cimarrones' 28. They outrebounded Cimarrones 52-35 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a quality performance of Dominican Jhery Matos (196-1996, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds and Dominican power forward Juan Rosario (203-1999) who added 12 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Dominican point guard Adris De Leon (180-1984, college: EWU) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and the former international forward Michael Jackson (192-1987) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds.
