Sabios dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Cimarrones' 34. American point guard Walyn Napper (185-2000, college: Longwood) had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Greg Heckstall (202-1996, college: Hampton) chipped in 25 points during the contest. The former international point guard Andres Salazar (180-1997) responded with 17 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
