Darwin Blanco claims Colombian LBP Hoops Agents weekly honour

Talented Darwin Blanco (188-G-2003) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Piratas de Bogota and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 21-year old guard had the game-high 33 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Piratas in his team's victory, helping them to crush Motilones (#2, 2-2) with 19-point margin 92-73. Thanks to this victory Piratas moved-up to the 3rd position in Colombian LBP. Piratas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Blanco had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Piratas' top player in his first season with the team. Darwin Blanco averages just after two games 27.5ppg and 5.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Emmitt Williams (198-F-1998) of Caribbean Storm Islands. Williams impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Storm lost that game 77-82 to Caimanes (2-0). Motilones needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Group B. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Johnson has a great season in Colombia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.3ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 8.8rpg (2nd best).
