Colombian LBP round 5 best performance: Yustin Llerena (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Yustin Llerena (195-F-2002) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Los Paisas de Medellin, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, five rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Cimarrones (#4, 2-6) with 17-point margin 93-76. It allowed Paisas to consolidate first place in the Colombian LBP. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Paisas has a very solid 6-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Llerena had a remarkable 91.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Paisas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Yustin Llerena averages this season 14.8ppg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Delano Spencer (193-G-1994) of Cimarrones del Choco. Spencer had a very good evening with 28 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. It was enough for Cimarrones to edge the higher-ranked Paisas (#1, 6-2) 91-90. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Cimarrones consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Cimarrones managed to get this year. Spencer is one of the most experienced players at Cimarrones and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.6ppg (#1). He also recorded 5.7 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Emmitt Williams (198-F-1998) of league's second-best Caribbean Storm Islands. Williams scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Storm, leading his team to a 72-68 win against #4 ranked Piratas. Carrib.Storm needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Group B. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 3 lost games. Williams has a great season in Colombia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 15.8rpg (#1 in league).
