Colombian LBP round 8 best performance: Sal Nuhu

American Center Sal Nuhu (203-C-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Motilones del Norte, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds, while his team edged out Carrib.Storm (#3, 4-7) 78-76. Motilones maintains the 2nd position in their group in the Colombian LBP. Motilones is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-5 record. In the team's last game Nuhu had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Motilones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Portland State University star has very solid stats this year. Nuhu is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 8.9rpg) and averages impressive 3.2bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Motilones' star - young international forward Michael Wright (198-F-1987). Wright had a very good evening with 24 points and 9 rebounds. It was enough for Motilones del Norte to edge slightly lower-ranked Carrib.Storm (#3, 4-7) 78-76. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Motilones consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team's 6-5 record is not bad at all. Wright is one of the most experienced players at Motilones and similarly like Sal Nuhu has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Panamanian Alejandro Grant (199-SF-1993) of league's top team Caimanes del Llano. Grant scored 19 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of Caimanes, leading his team to a 99-82 easy win against #4 ranked Piratas. Grant has a very solid season. In 12 games in Colombia he scored 11.2ppg.
