Napper's double-double lands him (Second Stage) Player of the Week award

24-year old American point guard Walyn Napper (185-PG-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sabios de Manizales and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 42 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Piratas (#7, 4-12) 95-85. Sabios is placed at 5th position in Colombian league. Sabios is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 8th lost game this season out of 14 games. In the team's last game Napper had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sabios, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Longwood College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Napper is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.2ppg) and averages solid 51.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Greg Heckstall (202-G-1996). He is American guard in his first season at Sabios. In the last game Heckstall recorded an impressive double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Sabios de Manizales cruised to a 95-85 relatively comfortable win over Piratas (4-12). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Heckstall is one of the most experienced players at Sabios and similarly like Walyn Napper has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Justin Quintero (193-SF-1998) of Piratas de Bogota (#7). Quintero scored 23 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Quintero's great performance the Piratas lost 85-95 to Sabios (#5, 6-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Piratas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Quintero has a very solid season. In 15 games in Colombia he scored 15.2ppg.
