The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Caimanes (13-5) in Villavicencio on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Toros (8-8) 67-57. Toros Del Valle outrebounded Caimanes 50-32 including 37 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Caimanes helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for the former international forward Yildon Mendoza (206-1996, college: Angelo St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. The former international point guard Leonardo Salazar (178-1993) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Argentinian guard Alejo Britos (187-1994) replied with 16 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for Caimanes. Caimanes' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
