American Center Sal Nuhu (203-C-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Motilones del Norte, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7 (Second Stage).
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out Sabios (#4, 9-11) 74-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Motilones to consolidate first place in the Colombian LBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Motilones has a very solid 11-8 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Nuhu just recently signed at Motilones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Portland State University star has very solid stats this year. Nuhu is in league's top in points (7th best: 15.3ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 9.8rpg) and averages impressive 2.5bpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Walyn Napper (185-PG-2000) of Sabios de Manizales. Napper had a very good evening with a double-double of 20 points and 11 assists. Bad luck as Sabios was edged by the higher-ranked Motilones (#1, 11-8) 74-70. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Sabios still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-11 record. Napper is one of the most experienced players at Sabios and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 6.8rpg and 6.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Spanish forward Juan Tello-Palacios (206-F/C-1985) of league's top team Los Paisas de Medellin. Tello-Palacios scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Paisas, leading his team to a 104-78 easy win against the lower-ranked Piratas (#6, 4-16). Paisas confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 5 lost games. Tello-Palacios has a very solid season. In 6 games in Colombia he scored 12.2ppg. He also has 10.2rpg and a FGP of 54.2%. Juan Tello-Palacios has also Colombian passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
