Paisas made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Paisas outrebounded Caimanes 43-30 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Paisas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Vince Cole (198-1998, college: Coastal) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws). His fellow American import guard Brandon Weatherspoon (193, college: FAU) contributed with 27 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Panamanian Alejandro Grant (199-1993) answered with 29 points and Uruguayan forward Gianfranco Espindola (196-1999) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Caimanes. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
