Colombia - Nicaragua 89-86

Colombia pulled off a dramatic 89-86 comeback win over Nicaragua in a tightly contested FIBA AmeriCup 2025 matchup. Nicaragua came out strong, dominating the first quarter 27-13 and maintaining a 48-41 lead at halftime. Despite trailing for most of the game, Colombia began to close the gap in the third quarter and entered the final period still behind. However, a 28-point outburst in the fourth quarter - paired with strong defensive stops - allowed Colombia to overtake Nicaragua in the final minutes. The win was a testament to Colombia's resilience and ability to execute under pressure, while Nicaragua, despite a strong start, struggled to maintain their lead down the stretch.
