Caimanes sign Luis Bethelmy, ex Trotamundos

Luis Bethelmy

Caimanes del Llano (LBP) signed experienced 39-year-old Venezuelan ex-international forward Luis Bethelmy (200cm-1986). He played this summer at Trotamundos in the Venezuelan SPB league. In 5 games just recently, he had 6.0ppg, 5.8rpg, and 1.8apg.
He is a very experienced player. Bethelmy has played in Argentina (Gimnasia), Mexico (Halcones Rojos and Libertadores), Puerto Rico, Uruguay (Defensor), Venezuela (Cocodrilos, Marinos, Guaros, Guacharos and Gladiadores), Colombia (Cafeteros, Guerreros and Storm) and Dominican Republic (Indios). He played in the final of Venezuelan SPB in 2025.
Among many awards, he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-South American Championship Honorable Mention back in 2016. Bethelmy is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Caimanes.
