Colombian LBP round 3 best performance: Terry Armstrong (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Terry Armstrong (200-G-2000) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Toros Del Valle, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (20 points, five rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Cimarrones (#7, 0-5) with 33-point margin 118-85. It allowed Toros to consolidate first place in the Colombian LBP. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Toros Del Valle already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Armstrong had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Former University of Arizona star has very solid stats this year. Armstrong is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 4.5apg) and averages impressive 58.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Toros Del Valle's star - young Davin Evans (2001). Evans had a very good evening with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course together with Armstrong he helped Toros Del Valle with another comfortable win outscoring Cimarrones (0-5) 118-85. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Evans is a newcomer at Toros and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Romario Roque (180-F-1998) of league's second-best Caribbean Storm Islands. Roque showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Roque's great performance the Storm lost 61-65 to #3 ranked Paisas. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Carrib.Storm needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Roque has a great season in Colombia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (5th best), rebounds with 6.6rpg (9th best) and assists with 5.0apg (2nd best).
