Michael Jackson claims Colombian LBP Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced International Forward Michael Jackson (198-F-1987) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Caribbean Storm Islands and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 38-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out Paisas (#3, 3-1) 83-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Storm is placed at 2nd position in Colombian LBP. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Carrib.Storm will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. Jackson turned to be Storm's top player in his first season with the team. Jackson has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 18.3ppg), rebounds (7th best: 7.8rpg) and assists (6th best: 3.3apg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Venezuelan swingman Kevin Nino (195-F/G-1991) of Sabios de Manizales. Nino impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Sabios to another comfortable win 80-67 over Cimarrones (#7, 0-7) being unquestionably team leader. Sabios' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Nino is a newcomer at Sabios and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#2). He also registered 4.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Dominican Rep. Rey Abad (210-SG-2002, agency: Sport Avenir) of Motilones del Norte (#6). Abad scored 15 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Abad's great performance the Motilones lost 59-63 to the higher-ranked Toros Del Valle (#1, 5-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Abad has individually a great season in Colombia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (4th best).

10. Andres Carmona (195-G/F-1997) of Motilones - 19 points and 7 rebounds
