Colome's 37-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old shooting guard Yeison Colome (190-SG-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for Motilones del Norte and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 37 points adding six rebounds and six assists for Motilones in his team's victory, helping them to beat Carrib.Storm (#2, 4-3) 92-85. Motilones maintains the 6th position in Colombian league. Motilones is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. In the team's last game Colome had a remarkable 54.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Motilones, through which he has constantly improved. Colome has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 19.4ppg) and assists (6th best: 3.4apg).

Second best performed player last round was Ty-Shon Alexander (193-G-1998) of Los Paisas de Medellin. He is American guard in his first season at Paisas. In the last game Alexander recorded an impressive 24 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Bad luck as Paisas lost that game 80-92 to slightly higher-ranked Toros Del Valle (#1, 7-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Paisas still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-3 record is not bad at all. Alexander is a newcomer at Paisas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.7ppg (#5). He also registered 5.7 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Michael Jackson (198-F-1987) of league's second-best Caribbean Storm Islands. Jackson showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Jackson's great performance the Storm lost 85-92 to the lower-ranked Motilones (#6, 2-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Carrib.Storm needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 3 lost games. Jackson has a great season in Colombia. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.2ppg (3rd best), rebounds with 8.8rpg (5th best) and assists with 3.4apg (7th best).
