Colombian LBP round 6 best performance: Tirrell Brown (by Hoops Agents)

American Power forward Tirrell Brown (198-PF-1993) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Caimanes del Llano, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, nine rebounds and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Toros Del Valle (#1, 7-3) 77-69. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Caimanes is placed at 2nd position in Colombian LBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Caimanes will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Caimanes' top player in his first season with the team. Former Ouachita Baptist University star has very solid stats this year. Brown is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.6ppg. Brown is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 7.0rpg) and averages impressive 64.2% FGP and 57.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Spanish power forward Juan Tello-Palacios (206-F/C-1985) of Los Paisas de Medellin. Tello-Palacios had a very good evening with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Of course he led Paisas to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Cimarrones (#7, 1-9) 69-44. This victory allowed Paisas to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 5-3 record is not bad at all. Tello-Palacios is a newcomer at Paisas, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Venezuelan guard Carlos Fulda (186-SG-2002) of Sabios de Manizales (#4). Fulda scored 27 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. He was a key player of Sabios, leading his team to a 77-63 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Motilones (#6, 2-6). Sabios needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Fulda has a great season in Colombia. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.5ppg (5th best).
