SPB 2026 - Cesar Silva is back at Brillantes, ex Cimarrones

Brillantes de Zulia (SPB) agreed terms with experienced 44-year old Venezuelan-Colombian ex-international swingman Cesar Silva (190cm-1981) for the new 2026 season. It is actually his comeback to Caracas as he has played here before. He played last summer at Cimarrones in the Colombian LBP league. In 8 games, he had 7.3ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.1apg, and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to the Colombian LBP Clausura final.
Silva is a very experienced player. He has played in Chile (Puente Alto and Osorno), Colombia (Cafeteros, Guerreros, and Bucaros), Venezuela (Guaiqueries, Trotamundos, Gaiteros, Yaracuyanos, and Bucaneros), and Ecuador (Iccan and Piratas).
Among many awards, he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Colombian LPB Clausura Best Sixth Man of the Year back in 2023. Silva is close to retirement age as a player, and it's very possible he may end his playing career at Brillantes.
