LBP 2026 - Toros sign Emmanuel Payton-Clottey

Emmanuel Payton-Clottey

Toros Del Valle (LBP) signed 28-year-old American 183cm point guard Emmanuel Payton-Clottey (college: FSU). He joins another USA player James Montgomery who is already on the team. He began the season with Caballeros de Culiacan in Mexican CIBACOPA. In the 6 games he recently played, he averaged 11.7ppg, 1.3rpg, and 1.2apg.
He is a very experienced player, having traveled extensively during his pro career to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). Payton-Clottey has played professionally in Argentina (Argentino and San Martin), Chile (CD Universidad de Concepcion, CD Universidad Catolica de Santiago, and Sportiva Italiana), Ireland (LYIT Donegal), Dominican Republic (Caneros), and Ecuador (Piratas).
Among many awards, his team won the Chilean Supercup in 2025. He was voted to the Latinbasket.com All-Chilean League All-Imports Team in 2025.
It is worth mentioning that he also played at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him secure a job in professional basketball.
Payton-Clottey graduated from Framingham State University in 2019 and is currently in his seventh season in pro basketball. He also played for Anna Maria College for one year.
