LBP 2026 - Caimanes sign Rashad Hassan, ex Welcome

Rashad Hassan

Caimanes del Llano (LBP) signed experienced 36-year old American power forward Rashad Hassan (203cm-98kg-1989, college: SSU). He just played at Welcome in Uruguayan LUB league. In 19 games he had very impressive stats: 19.6ppg, 6.8rpg and 1.3apg last season. He was also named League Player of the Week (2 times). Last season summer he played at Deportivo San Jose Asuncion (LNB) in Paraguayan league. Hassan also played for Toros earlier that season.
He is a highly experienced player. Hassan has played in nine different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia, and North America). He has played professionally in Australia (Rockets and Bandits), Chile (Las Animas and CD Espanol Osorno), France (Rueil), Iraq (Zakho), Luxembourg (Sparta), Paraguay, Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli and Al Nasr), and the United Kingdom (Lions, Leicester Riders, Plymouth Patriots, and Scorchers).
Among many awards, he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean League Honorable Mention in 2024. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Caimanes.
Hassan graduated from Savannah State University in 2013 and is currently in his 13th season as a professional player.
