23-year old Dominican Rep. swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-G/F-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sabios de Manizales and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
He had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Paisas (#2, 3-1) 80-71. Sabios is placed at 7th position in Colombian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game De La Cruz had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Sabios, being already a very valuable addition to the team. De La Cruz has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 11.3rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Marcus Weathers (199-G/F-1997) of league's second-best Los Paisas de Medellin. He is American swingman in his first season at Paisas. In the last game Weathers recorded an impressive double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Paisas lost that game 71-80 to Sabios (1-3). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Weathers is one of the most experienced players at Paisas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.0ppg (#9). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Kevin Quinonez (2002) of league's leader Toros Del Valle. Quinonez scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!).
