Evans' 31-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old American point guard Ty'Lik Evans (173-PG-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for Cimarrones del Choco and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 31 points adding two rebounds and eight assists for Cimarrones in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team Carrib.Storm (#8, 0-8) with 25-point margin 90-65. Cimarrones maintains the 4th position in Colombian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Cimarrones will need more victories to improve their 5-3 record. In the team's last game Evans had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Cimarrones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of South Carolina - Aiken graduate has very impressive stats this year. Evans is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.9ppg), assists (5th best: 4.4apg) and averages solid 2.6spg,63.8% FGP and 44.9% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Santiago Serna (203-F/C-2001) of Piratas de Bogota. He is international forward in his first season at Piratas. In the last game Serna recorded an impressive double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Piratas to another comfortable win 94-79 over slightly lower-ranked Sabios (#6, 3-5) being unquestionably team leader. Piratas' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 5-3 record is not bad and everything may still change. Serna is one of the most experienced players at Piratas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Piratas' star - Justin Quintero (193-SF-1998). Quintero showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 10 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Piratas de Bogota, helping his team with a 85-71 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Sabios (#6, 3-5). Piratas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Quintero has a very solid season. In 8 games in Colombia he scored 16.5ppg. He also has 4.9rpg, 3.1apg and a FGP of 62.9%.
