Aaron Gedeon claims Colombian LBP weekly honour

Panamanian Aaron Gedeon (203-F-1999) had a great game in the last round for league's second-best Piratas de Bogota and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 26-year old forward had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Carrib.Storm (#8, 0-10) with 35-point margin 106-71. Piratas is placed at 2nd position in Colombian LBP. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Piratas will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Gedeon turned to be Piratas' top player in his first season with the team. Aaron Gedeon averages this season 13.6ppg and 6.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Piratas' star - young international power forward Santiago Serna (203-F/C-2001). Serna impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Gedeon he helped Piratas de Bogota with another comfortable win outscoring Carrib.Storm (#8, 0-10) 106-71. This victory allowed Piratas to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 7-3 record is not bad at all. Serna is one of the most experienced players at Piratas and similarly like Aaron Gedeon has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Ty'Lik Evans (173-PG-1996) of Cimarrones del Choco (#4). Evans scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He was a key player of Cimarrones, leading his team to a 60-52 win against slightly lower-ranked Sabios (#6, 4-6). Cimarrones needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Evans has a great season in Colombia.
