Quintero's 24 points give him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old Panamanian Justin Quintero (193-SF-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Piratas de Bogota and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had the game-high 24 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Piratas in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Paisas (#5, 7-5) 93-89. Piratas maintains the 2nd position in Colombian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Piratas will need more victories to improve their 8-4 record. In the team's last game Quintero had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He just recently signed at Piratas, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Quintero has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.3ppg) and averages solid 62.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Michaell Jackson (198-F-1987) of Los Paisas de Medellin. He is international forward in his first season at Paisas. In the last game Jackson recorded an impressive 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Paisas to another comfortable win 99-82 over the higher-ranked Piratas (#2, 8-4) being unquestionably team leader. Paisas' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 7-5 record is not bad and everything may still change. Jackson is one of the most experienced players at Paisas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Paisas' star - guard Davion Bailey (193-G). Bailey scored 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He was another key player of Los Paisas de Medellin, helping his team with a 99-82 easy win against the higher-ranked Piratas (#2, 8-4). Paisas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Bailey has a great season in Colombia. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.0ppg (best scorer).
