Cimarrones - Piratas 71-63

It was a great evening for American guard Mardrez McBride (188, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points. Forward Yedier Mosquera (-2003) helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was the former international power forward Santiago Serna (203-2001) with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Panamanian forward Aaron Gedeon (203-1999, college: Southwest) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Piratas' coach Jose Tapias rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Sabios - Caimanes 56-79

Caimanes dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Sabios' 28. They outrebounded Sabios 47-29 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Caimanes players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sabios' players. It was an exceptional evening for American Tirrell Brown (198-1993, college: OBU) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international swingman Andres Carmona (195-1997) accounted for 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Caimanes' coach Jaime Ortiz felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican swingman Braynt De La Cruz (198-2002) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and guard David Blanco (192-2001) added 15 points and 4 steals respectively for Sabios in the defeat.
