The most exciting game of round 17 in the LBS took place in Grecia. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Grecia (6-6) to third ranked Escazu (10-3) 88-85 in the game for the third place. Escazu have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 10-3 record having seven points less than leader ARBA. Grecia at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Escazu are looking forward to face league's second-placed Barva at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grecia will play against Abogados and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Undefeated leader ARBA delivered the fifteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Liberia (4-10) 108-60. International forward Amaurys Ripool (196-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Isaac Conejo contributed with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists for the winners. ARBA's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International Daniel Shedden (190-96) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds for Liberia. Undefeated ARBA (15-0) have an impressive series of fifteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 15 victories in a row. Liberia at the other side dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. ARBA will play against Perez Zeledon (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Liberia will play against the league's second-placed Barva and hopes to get back on the winning track.

In the last game of round 17 bottom-ranked Abogados was crushed by Barva in a road game 81-38.
The best stats of 17th round was 21 points by Issac Mack of Barva.

Barva - Abogados 81-38

There was no surprise when 9th ranked Abogados (3-11) were crushed on the road by second ranked Barva (11-2) 81-38. Barva dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Abogados' 24. Barva forced 29 Abogados turnovers. They brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. American guard Issac Mack (184-92, college: New Orleans) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. The former international forward David Shedden (197-95) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Javier Bustamante (187-79) answered with 7 points and 10 rebounds and Jose Chacon added 7 points in the effort for Abogados. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains second place with 11-2 record having six points less than leader ARBA. Abogados at the other side stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Barva will play against Escazu (#3) in San Jose in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Abogados will play on the road against Grecia (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.

Undefeated leader ARBA delivered the fifteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Liberia (4-10) 108-60. ARBA held Liberia to an opponent 22.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. ARBA forced 21 Liberia turnovers and outrebounded them 74-29 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Liberia's players. International forward Amaurys Ripool (196-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). The former international guard Isaac Conejo (182-94) contributed with a triple-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists for the winners. ARBA's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
