LBS Round 3: Escazu beats Grecia in the most crucial game of the week - Apr 6, 2018

It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in LBS, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

An exciting game was played in Grecia. Escazu faced Grecia. Guests from San Jose (4-0) defeated host Grecia (4-2) 77-63. Escazu made 26-of-26 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Escazu outrebounded Grecia 63-42 including a 50-36 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American-U.S. Virgin Islands point guard Georgio Milligan (187-90, college: Franklin & Marshall) who scored 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). International power forward Rohel Wilson (197-89) chipped in 12 points and 18 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international swingman George Letford (185-91) who recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds. Grecia's coach rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Escazu's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from San Jose ARBA.
ARBA delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they crushed Abogados (0-5) 95-35 in San Jose. It was a good game for international guard Isaac Conejo (182-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. Dijon Farr contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jose Solano (191-81) answered with 9 points for Abogados. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ARBA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in San Jose to the arena Escazu.
The game in was also quite interesting. U Costa Rica (2-4) played at the court of Liberia (0-2). U Costa Rica did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 55-38 on Saturday. U Costa Rica will meet at home Siquirres (#6) in the next round. Liberia will play against Abogados and hopes to get finally their first victory.



ARBA - Abogados 95-35

ARBA delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they crushed Abogados (0-5) 95-35 in San Jose. ARBA held Abogados to an opponent 23.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 59.7 percent accuracy of the winners. ARBA forced 32 Abogados turnovers and outrebounded them 39-28 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Abogados' players. It was a good game for international guard Isaac Conejo (182-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. American guard Dijon Farr (201-91, college: Ark.-Fort Smith) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five ARBA players scored in double figures. Guard Jose Solano (191-81) answered with 9 points and point guard Jose Esquivel added 6 points in the effort for Abogados. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ARBA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in San Jose to the arena Escazu.
