LBS Round 5: ARBA beats Grecia in the most crucial game of the week - Apr 22, 2018

Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

An exciting game was played in San Jose. Leader ARBA faced 3rd placed Grecia. Host ARBA (4-0) smashed guests from Grecia (3-2) 81-51. ARBA held Grecia to an opponent 22.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 45.8 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Grecia 62-40 including a 48-30 advantage in defensive rebounds. ARBA looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Grecia's players. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Amaurys Ripool (196-86) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 20 rebounds. American guard Dijon Farr (201-91, college: Ark.-Fort Smith) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. International swingman George Letford (185-91) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ARBA have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 4-0 record. Grecia at the other side keeps the third position with two games lost. ARBA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Grecia will play against Liberia and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Bottom-ranked Liberia (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-32 loss to third ranked Escazu (3-1) in . Liberia - Escazu 32-80

Bottom-ranked Liberia (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 80-32 loss to third ranked Escazu (3-1) in . But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Escazu moved-up to second place. Liberia at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Escazu will play against Siquirres (#6) in the next round. Liberia will play against Grecia and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Siquirres - Abogados 61-65
