CR Vasco Da Gama Rio de Janeiro (NBB) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American guard Joshua Freelove (188-82kg-90, college: Buffalo, agency: Interperformances). He played this summer at Super Cable Grecia in Costa Rican LBS league. Freelove managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 8 LBS games he recorded 14.4ppg, 4.4rpg, 3.9apg and 1.6spg. The last season he played at Betsafe in Latvian LBL where in three games he averaged 5.3ppg, 1.0rpg and 2.0apg. Freelove also played 1 game in Baltic League where he had 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 3 steals.
In 2014 he was drafted by Maine Red Claws (D-League) in fifth round (76th overall).
The former University of Buffalo standoutis in his fifth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won MAC East Division Regular Season in 2014. Freelove was also voted All-MAC Honorable Mention back in 2014 at his college time.
Freelove is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in five different countries. Freelove has played previously professionally in Austria (UBSC Graz), Colombia (Guerreros), Morocco (IRT Tanger), Albania (Vllaznia Shkodra) and NBA G League (Northern Arizona Suns).

Abogados - Escazu 54-98 Escazu eased past Abogados to complete the sweep. Escazu dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Abogados' 32. Escazu forced 19 Abogados turnovers and outrebounded them 57-27 including a 46-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Mario Bonilla (198-C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Abogados, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 11. The 29-year old player had a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds, while his team crushed U Costa Rica (#6, 1-8) with 19-point margin 79-60.
