American-U.S. Virgin Islands Point guard Georgio Milligan (187-PG-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for top-ranked Escazu, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out ARBA (#2, 1-1) 74-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Escazu to consolidate first place in the Costa Rican LBS. The season is still on an early stage, but Escazu already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Milligan had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Escazu's top player in his first season with the team. Former Franklin & Marshall College star has very solid stats this year. Milligan is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.3ppg. Milligan is in league's top in assists (3rd best: 4.0apg) and averages impressive 3.0spg,51.3% FGP and 44.4% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was international center Juan Vargas (C) of U Costa Rica. Vargas had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as U Costa Rica lost that game 73-84 to Grecia (1-2). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Vargas is a newcomer at U Costa Rica, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#2). He also registered 16.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was international forward Marco Chacon (192-PF-97) of Grecia (#3). Chacon got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . He was a key player of Grecia, leading his team to a 84-73 win against #4 ranked U Costa Rica in a game of the week. The chances of Grecia not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Chacon could try to bring Grecia's a little bit higher in the standings. Chacon has individually a great season in Costa Rica. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.0ppg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mario Jose Gonzalez (98) of Grecia - 16 points and 13 rebounds
