Costa Rica outscored Nicaragua 44-38 in Managua at the U17 Centrobasket Qualifiers. The scored only 3 points in the opening period, however pushed the tempo later in the game. Costa Rica won the second frame 12-7 and added an 18-14 rally in the third period. Moreover, they closed the game with an 11-3 surge to seal the win.
