El Salvador continued with their perfect run at the Central American Championship. They improved to a 4-0 record beating Costa Rica 75:51. El Salvador opened the game with a 25-9 surge and added another 16-6 run in the second frame. Both teams nailed 22 pints each in the third quarter, whilst Costa Rica won the last stanza 14-12.
Destiny Campbell (185-F-1996, college: ECU) stepped up with 28 points and 17 rebounds, while Kimberly Villalobos (188-C-2000) netted 13. Daniela Quesada (168-G-1997, college: Salem) replied with 16 points in the losing effort.
