LSB Round 16 (Regular Season): Jaguars defeat Metropoli in the closest game of the week

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in LSB. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 16 in the LSB took place in Cartago. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 8th ranked Metropoli (4-11) to fifth ranked Jaguars (7-7) 73-70 on Sunday evening. Jaguars moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Grecia. Metropoli lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. Jaguars is looking forward to face Limon Sh. (#6) at home in the next round. Metropoli will have a break next round.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from San Jose: ARBA (#3) and Escazu (#2). Escazu was defeated at home 79-84 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Escazu. ARBA (10-4) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position having just three points less than leader Abogados. Escazu at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. ARBA will play against Grecia (#5) on the road in the next round. Escazu's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in San Jose to the arena Abogados.
LSB top team - Abogados (13-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Roswell (2-13) in San Jose 86-78. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-1 record. Loser Roswell stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Abogados' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from San Jose Escazu.

In the last game of round 16 Puntarenas lost to Limon Sh. on the opponent's court 69-81.



Roswell - Abogados 78-86

LSB top team - Abogados (13-1) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Roswell (2-13) in San Jose 86-78. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-1 record. Loser Roswell stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. Abogados' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from San Jose Escazu.

Metropoli - Jaguars 70-73

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Puntarenas (5-9) were defeated on the road by seventh ranked Limon Sh. (5-9) 81-69 on Saturday. Limon Sh. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Puntarenas. Puntarenas lost fifth consecutive game. Limon Sh. will meet higher ranked Jaguars (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Puntarenas will play against Roswell and hope to secure a win.
