Reynaldo Garcia
Reynaldo Garcia
#1. This week's number one is former international guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90, agency: DTMones, currently plays in Argentina). He led San Martin Corrientes to a victory against the seventh-ranked GECR Indalo (22-16) 80-68 in the Argentinian LigaA on Friday night. Garcia recorded 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 25 minutes on the court. San Martin Corrientes (29-9) is placed second in the LigaA. It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row. Garcia has relatively good stats this year: 13.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.8apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 51.0%, 3FGP: 35.0% and FT: 73.1% in 44 games he played so far. He played for the Cuban senior national team nine years ago.

Javier Justiz
Javier Justiz
#2. Second place goes to an international center Javier Justiz (205-92, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Argentina). Justiz managed to help San Lorenzo de Almagra to win against the eighth-ranked Obras Basket (20-18) 72-62 in the Argentinian LigaA in Friday night's game. He recorded only 4 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. San Lorenzo de Almagra (30-8) is placed first in the LigaA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Justiz's first season with the team. This year Justiz has relatively solid stats: 11.5ppg, 6.7rpg, 1.7bpg, 2FGP: 63.4%(208-328) and FT: 65.2%. He is in the roster of the Cuban senior national team.

Georvys Elias
Georvys Elias
#3. The Cuban player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international forward Georvys Elias (199-81, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Albacete (18-12) in their last game on Tuesday. Despite Elias' good performance Albacete was badly defeated 71-55 at home by the lower-ranked Real Canoe (#9). He recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and getting 11 rebounds. This season Elias averages: 10.0ppg, 5.8rpg, 2.5apg, 2FGP: 55.3%(156-282), 3FGP: 26.7% and FT: 54.7%. He played for the Cuban national team nine years ago.

Grismay Paumier
Grismay Paumier
#4. Power forward Grismay Paumier (204-88, currently plays in France) was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Saint Chamond (22-12) in their last game. Despite Paumier's very good performance Saint Chamond was crushed 80-56 on the road by the higher-ranked (#5) Lille Metropole. He was the top scorer with 15 points. Paumier also added 7 rebounds in 27 minutes. Paumier has reliable stats this year: 11.8ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.2apg in 32 games. He used to play for the Cuban national team back in 2009.

The list of other players, who all have Cuban passport but never been selected to any of Cuban national teams:

#1. Ismael Romero (203-C-91, agency: Paris Global Sports, currently plays in Puerto Rico) could not help Vaqueros (8-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the league leader Vaqueros lost 82-88 on the road to the lower-ranked (#4) Leones. Romero was the top scorer with 29 points. He also added 6 rebounds in 31 minutes. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Romero has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.4apg and 1.8spg in 12 games he played so far.

#2. Howard Sant-Roos (200-F-91, currently plays in Turkey) was not able to help Darussafaka in their game against Anadolu Efes (22-8) in the Turkish BSL. Sant-Roos recorded 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. But Darussafaka was defeated 78-69 in a derby game by the higher-ranked Anadolu Efes (#3). It was Darussafaka's first loss after three consecutive victories. This season Sant-Roos averages: 7.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 3.6apg and 1.3spg.

#3. Yunio Barrueta (198-F/G-93, agency: Inception Sports, college: Barry, currently plays in France) was not able to secure a victory for Denain Voltaire (16-18) in their last game.
