Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Cubans who are currently playing abroad.
#1. This week's number one is an international swingman
Marvin Cairo (201-91, currently plays in Bolivia). Cairo could not help
Penarol (1-4) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite his very good performance the fifth-placed Penarol (1-4) was crushed
101-70 on the road by the leading Rubair in the Group B.
Cairo recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 11 rebounds.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Cairo has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 26.2ppg, 9.6rpg, 1.4bpg, 2FGP: 53.1%, 3FGP: 35.3% and FT: 80.6%.
Former Capitalinos Azules de La Habana starter played for the Cuban senior national team one years ago.
#2. Second place goes to an experienced former international power forward
Jordanis Jaca (195-83, currently plays in Bolivia) faced previously mentioned Marvin Cairo in the Bolivian Libobasque last game.
Jaca led
Rubair to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Penarol (1-4) crushing them
101-70.
He scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in a mere 17 minutes.
The Regular Season already ended.
This year Jaca's overall stats are: 8.7ppg, 4.7rpg, 2FGP: 64.3%(18-28) and FT: 64.0% in six games he played so far.
Former Tigres de Camaguey starter played for the Cuban national team in 2016.
#3. The Cuban player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward
Lisvan Valdes (196-88, currently plays in El Salvador). He led
Santa Tecla to a victory over the league outsider Halcones (6-12) crushing them
105-78 in the Salvadorean Liga MB (second division) in Thursday night's game.
Valdes was MVP of the game. He recorded 39 points (!!!), 3 assists and 5 steals.
Santa Tecla BC (16-2) is placed first in the Liga MB.
It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row.
This season Valdes has very high stats. He averages: 21.9ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.0apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 56.5%(104-184), 3FGP: 38.8% and FT: 73.0%.
Ex-Capitalinos Azules de La Habana player is also a member of the Cuban senior national team.
#4. Power forward
Yuniskel Molina (177-93, currently plays in El Salvador) is a teammate of previously mentioned Lisvan Valdes. But that was another game of his team in Salvadorean Liga MB which we would like to mention.
Molina was the major contributor in a
Santa Tecla's victory against the league outsider Halcones (6-12) crushing them
113-76.
He scored 29 points (!!!) in 26 minutes.
Santa Tecla BC (16-2) is placed first in the Liga MB.
It was his team's ninth consecutive victory in a row.
Molina has very impressive stats this year: 17.0ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.4apg and 2.3spg in 21 games.
He is also Cuban national team player.
#5. International forward
Freddy Marin (202-92, currently plays in Bolivia) contributed to an
AND1 La Paz's victory against the sixth-ranked La Salle CBBA (1-6)
85-77 in the Bolivian Libobasquet on Tuesday night.
Marin scored 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
AND1 La Paz (1-6) is placed sixth in Group A.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
Marin has relatively good stats this season: 13.6ppg and 6.0rpg.
He plays currently for the Cuban national team.
#6. Center
Eliecer Quintana (205-91, currently plays in Bolivia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Marvin Cairo and both played together in the last Bolivian Libobasquet game.
Quintana was not able to help
Penarol in their game against Rubair (5-1).
He scored 6 points. It was his first game for Penarol this season.
Penarol (#5) was crushed
101-70 by the leading Rubair in the Group B.
Quintana is a former international player as he played for the Cuban senior team two years ago.

Vaqueros to a victory over the league leader Leones (21-15)
102-86 in the Puerto Rican BSN in Sunday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Romero had a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 10 rebounds in 24 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Vaqueros de Bayamon (20-16) is placed third in the BSN.
Romero has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.1ppg, 7.4rpg, 2.3apg and 1.4spg in 30 games he played so far.
#2. Dariel Maza (C-91, currently plays in Bolivia) contributed to an
AND1 La Paz's victory against the sixth-ranked La Salle CBBA (1-6)
85-77 in the Bolivian Libobasquet in Tuesday night's game.
Maza scored 15 points in 24 minutes.
AND1 La Paz (1-6) is placed sixth in Group A.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
This year Maza has relatively solid stats: 12.0ppg, 5.7rpg and 1.1apg in seven games.
