Summary of the Case:

The Agent, Paolo Giuliani, filed a claim against the Cuban Player, Howard Sant-Roos (201-G-91, agency: Octagon Europe), for agent fees, declaratory relief, service fees, penalties and interest. The Claimant submitted that the Respondent breached the Agreement by improperly terminating it. In his Answer, the Respondent argued that he never discussed the specific terms of the Agreement, that he had terminated the Agreement for just cause and, in the event that the Arbitrator finds that the termination was without just cause, the amounts sought should be reduced given that the Claimant was not involved in the negotiations. The claim was partially upheld.
