Villa Clara (LSB) signed experienced 36-year old Cuban ex-international shooting guard William Granda (189cm-95kg-1985). The last time (2019) he played at Costa Caribe in Nicaraguan LSB league. Granda missed last two seasons and had longer break from professional basketball.
He also represented Cuba at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz (Mexico) eight years ago. His team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 4 games: 12.0ppg, 4.3rpg, FGP: 41.4%, 3PT: 42.9%, FT: 35.3%.
Granda has played also professionally in Uruguay (Tabare), Cuba (Ciego, Ciego de Avila, Capitalinos and Tigres) and Dominican Republic (Bameso).
He is close to retirement age as a player. It's very possible he may end his playing career at Villa Clara.
