LSB Round 9: Lobos beat Gladiadores by three after a very close game- March 6, 2023
Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Huracanes - Ciego de Avila 66-80 We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Bufalos (4-5) beat 4th placed Huracanes (4-5) in San Jose de las Lajas 80-66. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Huracanes. Bufalos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Huracanes will play again at home against Bufalos (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Lobos - Gladiadores 81-78 Eighth-ranked Gladiadores (0-9) were very close to win a game against third ranked Lobos (8-1) in Santa Clara on Friday. Lobos managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Lobos have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Gladiadores at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Lobos are again looking forward to face bottom-ranked Gladiadores (#8) in Las Tunas in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Gladiadores will have a break next round. Halcones - Capitalinos 77-61 An interesting game for Halcones (9-0) which hosted in Santiago second-best Capitalinos (7-2). Leader Halcones had an easy win 77-61. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Capitalinos. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Halcones. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Capitalinos at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Halcones will again play against Capitalinos (#3) in La Habana in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Capitalinos will have a break next round. |
