Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
La Habana C. - Ciego de Avila 68-66 Fourth-ranked Bufalos (5-6) were very close to win a game against third ranked Capitalinos (9-2) in La Habana. Capitalinos managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bufalos. Capitalinos moved-up to second place, which they share with Villa Clara. Defending champion Bufalos keep the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Mayabeque. Capitalinos will again play against Bufalos (#4) in Ciego de Avila in the next round. Bufalos will have a break next round. Santiago - Sancti Spiritus 101-84 No shocking result in a game when first ranked Halcones (10-1) beat 6th ranked Yayabo (3-8) in Santiago de Cuba 101-84 on Tuesday. Halcones maintains first place with 10-1 record. Loser Yayabo keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Artemisa. Halcones will again meet at home Yayabo (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Yayabo will have a break next round. Mayabeque - Villa Clara 103-72 Very important is a road loss of second ranked Lobos (9-2) against fifth ranked Huracanes (5-6) on Tuesday night. Visiting Lobos were crushed by Huracanes in San Jose de las Lajas 103-72. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Lobos. Huracanes moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ciego de Avila. Loser Lobos keep the second position with two games lost. They share it with La Habana C.. Huracanes will again meet at home higher ranked Lobos (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lobos will have a break next round. Las Tunas - Artemisa 84-85 The most exciting game of round 11 in the LSB took place in Las Tunas. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Gladiadores (0-11) to seventh ranked Toros (3-8) 85-84 on Tuesday evening. Toros have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sancti Spiritus. Gladiadores at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Toros will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gladiadores will play again at home against Toros (#7) and hope to get finally their first victory. |
