LSB Round 22: Bufalos defeat Lobos in the game between Top 4 teams- April 7, 2023

Artemisa - Mayabeque 57-52 The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked Toros' (9-13) home victory over 7th ranked Huracanes (7-14) in Artemisa 57-52. Toros moved-up to fifth place. Huracanes at the other side keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Toros will play against Yayabo (#6) in Sancti Spiritus in the next round. Huracanes will play on the road against Bufalos in Ciego de Avila and hope to get back on the winning track. Ciego de Avila - Villa Clara 94-74 An interesting game for Bufalos (11-11) which hosted in Ciego de Avila one of their biggest challengers Lobos (9-12). Third ranked Bufalos had an easy win 94-74. Defending champion maintains third position with 11-11 record having nine points less than leader La Habana C. Lobos lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. Bufalos are looking forward to face Huracanes (#7) in San Jose de las Lajas in the next round. Lobos will play on the road against Gladiadores in Las Tunas and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series. Sancti Spiritus - La Habana C. 46-67 LSB top team - Capitalinos (20-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Yayabo (9-14) in Sancti Spiritus 67-46. Capitalinos have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-2 record. Yayabo at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 14 games lost. Capitalinos will play against league's second-placed Halcones in Santiago de Cuba in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yayabo will play at home against Toros (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Santiago - Las Tunas 98-89 Very expected game when 8th ranked Gladiadores (3-19) lost to second ranked Halcones (19-2) in Santiago de Cuba 89-98. Halcones have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 19-2 record behind leader La Habana C. Gladiadores at the other side stay dead last with 19 lost games. Halcones will play against league's leader Capitalinos in La Habana in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gladiadores will play at home against Lobos (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track. |
