LSB Round 24: Capitalinos beat Halcones by two after a very close game- April 10, 2023
Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Ciego de Avila - Mayabeque 62-56 No shocking result in a game when third ranked Bufalos (13-11) beat 7th ranked Huracanes (7-16) in Ciego de Avila 62-56. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bufalos have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-11 record having nine points less than leader La Habana C. Huracanes lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 16 games lost. Las Tunas - Villa Clara 69-89 The game in Las Tunas supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Lobos (10-13) played at the court of 8th ranked Gladiadores (4-20). Lobos did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-69. Lobos maintains fifth position with 10-13 record. Gladiadores at the other side stay dead last with 20 lost games. Sancti Spiritus - Artemisa 56-52 Rather expected game when 6th ranked Toros (9-15) lost to fourth ranked Yayabo (11-14) in Sancti Spiritus 52-56. Yayabo maintains fourth position with 11-14 record. Toros at the other side keep the sixth place with 15 games lost. La Habana C. - Santiago 80-78 The most exciting game of round 24 in the LSB took place in La Habana. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-best Halcones (19-4) to first ranked Capitalinos (22-2) 80-78 in the game for the first place.
