Cuba registered first win at the AmeriCup FIBA 2025 Qualifiers as they edged Antigua and Barbuda 97-53. Cuba opened the game with a 21-14 run and added massive 26-16 rally in the second quarter. Moreover, Cuba nailed 30 points in the third quarter and won the last period 20-11.
Jasiel Rivero (206-PF-1993, agency: Pro Sports) top-scored for the winners with 15 points and Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) netted 13. Alexis Jackson (205-C-2000) ended up with 14 points in the losing case, whilst Cohen Desouza (201-F-1994) poured in 13.
