Cuba celebrated second straight win Central American and Caribbean Games 2023 as they defeated El Salvador 72:63. Both teams nailed 17 points each in the first and the third quarters. Cuba meanwhile won the second period 17-16 and closed the game with a final 21-13 run.
Nahomis Vargas (185-C-2003) top-scored for the winners with 20 points and Bexy Claro (2001) notched 17. Kimberly Villalobos (188-C-2000) replied with 20 points in a loss, whilst Emily Tevez (175-SG-1993, college: NDN) and Hillary Martinez (172-SF-1997) had 14 each.
