Aalst welcomes back Tito Casero-Ortiz

Okapi Aalst (Pro Basketball League) landed 26-year old former Belgian-Cuban international 185cm guard Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz. It is actually his comeback to Okapi Aalst as he has played here before. He already started the season at Jamtland in Swedish Basketligan. In 7 games he averaged 12.0ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.1apg. He also played 2 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 12.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg.
He was also a member of Belgian international program for some years. He played for Belgian Senior National Team in 2019 and previously for U20 National Team in 2017. Strangely he also played for Cuban National Team in 2022.
He represented Cuba at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador (El Salvador) this year.
He is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in France (GET Vosges), Holland (Yoast United), Spain (Moron), Sweden and Belgium (Spirou Charleroi, Circus Brussels, CRF AWBB Jambes and Spirou Basket Charleroi B team). He was also voted to Eurobasket.com All-BNXT League Honorable Mention in 2023.
He won Belgian Top Division II (Group A) championship title in 2017.
